ATLANTA, GA – August 6, 2025 — INTENNSE™ tennis today announced the Bata Trophy, which will be awarded to the inaugural league champion. The trophy will be presented this weekend at the INTENNSE Arena, where all three of the league’s teams remain in contention for the title.
The Bata Trophy is a modern, dynamic piece of art designed to symbolize the core values of the INTENNSE league: community, collective effort, and the elevation of tennis. Its design features seven upward spiraling arcs that converge to support a central sphere.
"The arcs represent the seven members of an INTENNSE team—three men, three women, and a coach—all working together to lift the sport itself,” said INTENNSE CEO, Charles Allen. "The design’s message is that the sport is only sustainable when all team members work together. It's a powerful visual of unity and collective achievement."
The trophy’s name, the Bata Trophy, honors the Bata family, pioneers in making quality products accessible to all. The family legacy of entrepreneurship is amplified by Triple B, their investment office, which embodies the family’s values. Their commitment to innovation and community mirrors the league’s mission to democratize tennis and make it more inclusive.
“At Triple B, we back ventures that challenge the status quo, set new cultural standards, and make a tangible difference in the communities they serve,” said Thomas Archer Bata, Director at Triple B. “INTENNSE embodies that mission — bold, disruptive, and deeply rooted in impact.”
The trophy itself is crafted with different bright finishes on each arc, which are designed to sparkle under light, distinguishing each team member's role without assigning specific colors to gender. The tall base is engineered to accommodate six plaques, allowing it to honor champions for the league's first six seasons.
Team play begins on Saturday at 7 PM when Team Atlanta takes on Team Tampa, the Surge Host, and continues on Sunday at 2 PM when Team Jacksonville faces off against Team Tampa. The trophy will be presented following Sunday’s Dual.
All Duals will be streamed live on Twitch @INTENNSE and YouTube and broadcast live on Swerve TV, which is available on ROKU and Pluto TV, as well as many other streaming platforms. The broadcasts are also available on Peachtree TV throughout the state of Georgia. The schedule of their live and recorded broadcasts is available here.
